Animals as Teachers   Leave a comment

In all my years as a teacher in the classroom I have never been so humbled as when I became Ginger’s student. What does it mean to be taught by your animal companion? How do we receive these lessons?

Here’s a partial list.
-Go outside. I love this lesson. We spend way too much time inside (I’m guilty of that one) and we should go outside to connect to nature, become more grounded, breathe fresh air… receive all the benefits of being outside.

- Play. When we take time for play we nurture our inner child. Of course, playing with my dog is the best. She makes me laugh!

- Take naps when you’re tired… self-explanatory. :)

- Accept treats and show gratitude.

- Love unconditionally. Again, I am humbled by this lesson.

- Open your heart to the possibilities. There is always room to learn, grow and become more than you think possible. Keep your heart open to receive.

Add lessons you have learned from your animals. Share them here.
